At the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Tavana has developed a technique of endoscopic carpal tunnel release that can be performed in a procedure room with a minimal incision at the wrist, without sedation anesthesia, allowing you to get back to life as soon as possible.
Without the requirements for anesthesia, total time at our facility is under an hour. You are able to drive yourself to your procedure and you can also have a light meal prior to your procedure, should you choose. Because of the reduced use of anesthesia and operating room facilities, the procedure can also be significantly less costly, leaving you with a lower copay than traditional surgeries.
